Train came from Texas and arrived in Calgary at the end of February.

It is apparent that Train has not lived in a home or had much in the way of training. His foster providers are finding he needs a lot of direction and discipline while learning how to “dog”.

His foster providers have been teaching him how to walk on a leash, recall, tricks and most importantly…how to live in a home with a family.

Due to Train’s time on the streets, he does like to dig and bury things and can be destructive if left alone. He is crate trained and should be in his crate when left alone including when in a vehicle.

Train is a very affectionate dog who enjoys cuddling and soft blankets. He is submissive to the resident dog and gets along i=with cats but needs to learn boundaries.

Train can be very playful and a couch potato. He will need a home with another dog his size to teach him and help him grow into a wonderful family pet.

Train’s ideal home is one with moderately active people who will provide him with adequate physical and mental stimulation. A home where he will not be left unattended for long periods and a home willing to attend some training. His ideal home must be patient while he learns how to “dog”.
