It’s me, Ryder! I’ve been at my new foster home for a long time now. I am being treated for heartworms, though everyone is still shocked I'm sick since you can't tell in the least that I'm ill.
I’m quite the love bug and my foster family would say my most favourite thing is to snuggle on the couch with anyone who's willing!!
I would love to sleep in your bed, but I've been trained to sleep in my crate at my foster family's house just in case you don't want me as a weighted blanket.
I don't mind my crate and will run right in if you tell me (and give me a treat!)
I'm crated any time my foster family leaves the house. I don't usually cry/bark anymore unless I know you're home and haven't let me out yet.
Think I look strong? I am. Foster moms think I’d be great at sports where I can pull, but I’ve been working on learning how to walk on a loose leash. I love following my nose and find it a bit hard to focus when I’m outside, but high value treats really do the trick to help me pay attention to my name and not pull as much.
I love going for walks and jogs, but I haven't been allowed to go on long walks with my current treatment. I know once I'm feeling better, I could be the best adventure buddy around!
A fenced backyard is a must for me and a family who has the patience to keep working on my training!
I have a low tolerance for most dogs and have bitten another dog causing harm, but I do have some dog friends who I can coexist with. I like to chase small things and do not do well with cats or small quick dogs. So, a home with no other pets would be best for me, but if you have a super chill dog, I can think about it and let you know-Very slow introductions are best for me.
Could I be the cuddly dog for you?!
