Almond is looking for another foster home or even better, and adopter!

Well as you can tell from the pictures, if you’re looking for a smiley guy, Almond is your guy! He’s often found smiling and quite content just chilling with his people. He’s very gentle and affectionate. We don’t have small children in the home, but because of his gentle nature, I would assume he would be great with kids of all ages.

Now that he’s fully decompressed, he plays well with what seems like all dogs, walks well on leash and is a really quiet little guy. He knows some basic commands already, like sit, “hey” to get his attention or stop doing whatever he’s doing. We take him out often so he hasn’t really had any accidents inside the home but would do well with bell training since he’s so quiet. He’s started to sit by the door when he needs to go out, but he does so very quietly as he patiently waits to be noticed.

We were trying not to use his new name too much in case his new family wanted to choose their own, but as it’s been a couple weeks, we’ve started to get him used to Almond, which he picked up right away. He’s a very smart little cookie, only having to tell him new things once or twice, like which rooms are off limits. He quickly knew to stop and wait at the doorway.

Almond has also done great on the couple car rides he’s taken, so he’s be a great companion on all your adventures!

He does bark a bit in the morning when he’s in his kennel to let you know it’s time to go out and a bit at bedtime when he first goes into his kennel, but he settles very quickly.

Overall, he’s a pretty low maintenance, loving and affectionate little guy that would love to find his forever home
