Asteria is a moderately active dog who is good on walks and loves a minimum 10-15 min walk but is not going to be anyone's long distance hiking buddy.

She is house-trained, only having one accident since arrival and we think it was our residents dog’s fault as she had peed there first.

Asteria doesn't bark; we haven't actually heard her bark at all but she does snore a lot, sleeping in her kennel with no issues. Asteria is overall a very quiet dog.

Asteria shows no aggression towards other dogs, however she does tend to shy away from larger dogs or pushy-sounding dogs she encounters on walks. She would really appreciate a friend to play with as our resident dog is more cat-like and does not want to play.

Because of Asteria’s gentle demeanor, she would probably be okay with cats and her foster home has rabbits that she hasn't had any issues wanting to chase or focus on.

She is probably good with kids but has not interacted with any while in foster care. She can be a bit rambunctious and clumsy but is respectful of her size, however, would maybe knock over little kids, especially on slippery floors when she cannot brake well.

Asteria is not good with stairs. She will maneuver the 4-5 up and down the porch but shows hesitation towards the house stairs. We think she’d be more comfortable in a home with only one floor, or where most of the house is on one level.

She loves a good belly rub, wants to say hi to everyone, is very loving and wants to be always doing everything with everyone.
