Well, isn’t this cutie just a treat and true to his name, he is quite the entertainer. A sweet little guy who lives for pets - he will happily place himself in your lap and show you his belly while showering you with kisses and wiggling like a worm. He can’t decide if he should wiggle, lick, kick, play, squirm, rub up against you or roll over - so he does it all for several minutes and then settles down, eventually. It’s quite funny. Once tuckered out, he will cuddle or lay quietly by your feet/nearby.

He likes to tell you stories when he first gets into his crate but settles within a minute or so. Sleeps quietly throughout the night - this is really great considering he’s still very puppy-ish. We sleep from 9:30pm to 7am. He does best if you take him for a walk prior to leaving him at home in his crate. I have left him for a few minutes at a time to roam freely around the house and all is well. He is learning to go into his crate on his own at mealtime.

So far, no accidents in the house but he has marked a few times - this is not uncommon for male dogs and he hasn’t marked past his first few days here. He has not barked inside the house yet for any reason.

He’s a true Heinz 57 mix: guessing shih tzu, pug and chi, maybe? Prepare yourself for big ol’ puppy eyes and puppy energy.

This little guy could do well as the only dog due to his desire to be with you all the time or in a home with another playful dog that’s his size or larger. Since he is so puppy-like still, he is mouthing a lot when he plays. A home with older kids or adults would be best. He’s discovered bully sticks that help keep him and his busy mouth occupied, and he really likes playing tug with my dog. We have also been playing search games and he’s catching on.

He does do well with my other male in the house but seems more interested in me. We have come across other dogs on our walks and he is reactive to them (barking) if we get too close. He does not bark if they are across the street, but closer. He likes other people and has given them kisses when meeting them. He isn’t quite a puller on leash but excited to smell all the smells.

Did I mention he will follow you everywhere? With that said, an owner who is home the majority or all of the time would be best.

Other small tidbits: Good with being picked up and can navigate stairs up and down already. He did really well in the bath - super chill and will let you scrub him down without any fuss. Also good at the groomers for nail trims. Elvis will need basic training but does know his name - he will come when you call him.

Overall, Elvis is a goofy little guy that will make you smile daily - he’s a great pup.
