Male, 1 year, pit bull X, 31 lbs

Terrence is a great little guy. He has stolen our hearts, and our resident dogs bed, which she doesn’t seem to mind sharing too much. He is non aggressive towards other dogs, people, cats and children, however he needs some guidance when meeting because he gets very excited and it can be overwhelming for others. Terrence needs another dog in the home for company, he is very content if there is just another dog around, however it would be nice to have a friend for him to play with and to teach him how to be a house dog. Terrence was not housetrained and knew no commands when we got him, but he has been doing well with going outside and is still working on basic commands, he has come a long way in one week! Terrence is not used to having an entire house to roam so he is unsure and has not even explored our entire house yet, even though he has been free to roam. Terrence has been provided lots of toys and comfy places to sleep at our house. At first, he wasn’t sure what to do with them, but is figuring it out slowly. He plays here and there but his favorite thing so far is to snooze in the biggest, comfiest bed we have.

We are looking for a forever home with another dog that has a little bit of time and patience to spend with this sweet little guy. We think he will be a great family pet with his size and temperament.

This dog has upcoming veterinary tasks (neuter) covered on the BARCS Rescue account at our veterinary partners. The adopter must be in agreement to schedule and attend these appointments after adoption.

This dog is being fostered in Calgary.
