I knew my dashing looks would catch your attention because why else would you be reading this?
I am a shy boy and not much of a barker who just needs some time and patience but before you know it I'll be glued to your side. I have some separation anxiety when my person leaves the house without me, but with time I'm sure I will understand they will come back. A home without a shared wall or floor would be best as I can get rowdy and loud when you leave the house. I will need something to keep me busy while you're away, preferably toys that are built for strong chewers because soft toys and blankets are no match for me.
I am still working on crate training as I don't know the command quite yet and get anxious when you close the door.
I LOVE WALKS/RUNS (great on leash) and just being outside, so I need a family that loves them too. Fish creek park or wooded areas with places to walk through the water are my favorite kinds of walks. I would make a wonderful jogging buddy, I will keep your pace and will run by your side. I have little to no interest in other dogs, cats or woodland critters so I won't be pulling you off course.
I'm still learning my house manners and basic commands so I will need help with this. I want to know what you're eating but once I see, I move on and don't care to beg.
I will need a lot of reassurance as I am still fearful of the busy city and home life. I'm still learning that it's okay to let my guard down and play, so don't be let down if I don't play with you right away.
I'm working on letting my people know when I need to be let out to do my business before it becomes an emergency, but have been getting much better as I have settled more into home life.
