Hi There
My name is Wish. I am a happy go lucky three-legged Golden Retriever. I made the long journey all the way to Canada to settle into my foster home.
My foster humans say that I am eager to please and just want to be around them. I will follow my foster humans around the house just to get their attention.
At first the stairs were a bit scary to me, but I have since mastered them. Now I can run up and down the stairs like a pro.
I am also very quiet and never bark unless the kids next door are playing outside.
I didn’t know many commands when I first settled in but I’m working towards learning things like sit, down and come.
I had a couple accidents when I first arrived but have mastered doing my business outside (if you know what I mean).
My foster humans say I am AMAZING on leash I never pull and like to walk right next to them. I try not to let my three legs slow me down but sometimes I get a little tired on walks, so we have been going a few smaller walks throughout the day.
Cars have never scared me, and I just settle right in once I’m inside, although I may need some help jumping in.
All in all, I love to be around humans and just need a loving home with lots of cuddles and play time. I love to play with my toys.
I haven’t had the chance to play with lots of dogs since arriving to Canada, but I always see them on our walks, and they don’t bother me. I think it would be fun to have another dog living with me so I can have someone to play with.
I promise I’d make a great addition to any family.
