Hannah is a very sweet and low energy girl. She has an excellent temperament. When we are working from home, she is happy just sleeping on her doggy bed. We have also left her home alone with our other dog for three to four hours at a time and she seemed to have done well. We could see through our home monitoring system that she basically stayed in her bed and slept. She wasn’t destructive in any way.

Hannah is not a big fan of being in her crate, other than for car rides, which she does really well in. If she is not on a car ride and is in a crate, after several minutes, if she knows you are around, she will whine/bark/cry/howl.

Hannah likes to be close to her people if not right up against them and at bedtime, she would love to fall asleep with her people rather than by herself. Although, if you would like her to sleep in her own bed on the floor, she will settle and stay there after you have calmed her and given her many pets. If you allow Hannah to sleep in your bed, she loves to tuck herself and get in under the blankets. Hannah taught herself on how to use the doggy ramp that leads up and down from our bed. Hannah generally gets a small spurt of energy right before bedtime where she will want to play with you or have the zoomies. It usually lates for about 5 minutes.

Hannah will potty outside if you stay outside with her. However, with our winter, her little paws to get cold/start to hurt fairly quickly. It would be best to put some booties on her. We have also given her the option to potty on a pee pad when it is too cold outside and so far, she has done well with that. She has had some accidents so potty training is still an ongoing thing right now. Hannah doesn’t know how to ask to go outside to do her business so every time she wakes up, depending on the weather, we either take her outside or put her on the pee pad.

Hannah is great on a leash and we have not seen her be reactive towards other dogs.

Hannah doesn’t care for toys but she is very food motived, which is great for training. We just started teaching her how to sit by bringing the treat over her head and once she sits, we release the treat.

It took Hannah about a day to settle and adjust to our home and then her personality came out. Other than her food guarding issues (which we have been working with her on), she is great with other dogs, at least dogs of similar size or smaller. We do not have any big dogs so we do not know how she is with bigger dogs. We have not seen her with children, but based on her temperament, we think that she would be good around them.

With her short little legs, Hannah has an adorable waddle when she walks and runs. It is hard not to fall in love with such a sweet little girl. She would make a wonderful loyal companion. It seems like all she wants are snuggles and treats.
