This handsome boy will follow you to ends of the earth and back with a smile on his face just because he is with you. He is the biggest, sweetest teddy bear. A little unsure with new people, but he quickly comes around. He is particularly unsure around children, and it takes them a while to earn his trust. He loves his foster sister-dog, and his neighbourhood dog friends, and everyone he meets on his walks. He is amazing on the leash. He rarely pulls and listens your commands. He also likes going for car rides and gets excited for the daily school pick-up run. If you have leave him, he does have separation anxiety in that he doesn’t want you to go and he will not rest until you are home, but he wont bark or tear up the house while he waits. He likes his kennel, but on his terms - he will go in when he wants but does not want the door shut.

He is a good guard dog. He has a great booming bark from the window to scare away strangers but as soon as you open the door, he turns into a happy fluffy love puddle. He hasn’t had any accidents in the foster home and will pace quietly until he is let out. Foster has not tested him with cats, but he doesn’t seem to have a big prey drive judging by the way he lazily watches the squirrels.

Elton (Teddy) is a good boy, he will make a lovely best friend for someone lucky. He would be best suited for a quiet household with no kids, or older kids who can respect his space until he warms up to them. Ideally his new home would have someone who can spend a lot of time with him during the day.
