Meet Pebbles (aka Tigger)! đž
Don't let his size fool youâ 35-pound mini Staffy is bursting with personality! Affectionately nicknamed Tigger, he's a goofy, happy boy who loves making people laugh with his playful antics and zest for life.
Pebbles has overcome a lot. After spending too much of his early life confined to a kennel, he has some mobility challenges with his front legs. Thanks to multiple rounds of physiotherapy, he gets around remarkably well and doesn't let it slow him down. He can manage a few stairs on his own but appreciates a helping hand with full flights. On grass or other soft surfaces, you'll often catch him doing joyful zoomiesâespecially if there's a squeaky ball involved!
His favorite things include squeaky toys, playing tug, chasing a ball, and, of course, cuddling with his people. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and has excellent canine manners. He happily plays with his larger canine companions and respectfully gives older dogs their space when they ask for it.
Because of his prey drive, Pebbles would do best in a home without cats or other small animals. He is also looking for a home without young children. Fast movements, loud noises, and toys can make him anxious, causing him to chase or nip. However, he absolutely adores older children and teenagers and loves curling up beside them for cuddles.
Pebbles isn't built for long walks. His front paws are still turned inward, and walking on pavement for extended periods can be uncomfortable and damaging. Instead, he enjoys short outings, playtime in the yard, enrichment activities, and lots of quality time with his family. He's the perfect companion for someone looking for a best friend rather than a hiking partner.
Due to his past, Pebbles does not do well in a crate and becomes distressed if confined. He thrives when given the freedom to move around the home and settle where he's comfortable.
He can be a little cautious around men at first, but with a calm approach, patience, and a few tasty treats, he warms up nicely and forms strong bonds.
Pebbles has no medical concerns other than his front leg deformity. He has no allergies, eats well, has no food aggression, and happily enjoys kibble with a little raw mixed into his dinnerâhis favorite meal of the day!
Pebbles is looking for a patient, loving family that will embrace him just as he is. In return, you'll gain a loyal, affectionate, goofy companion who will fill your home with laughter, cuddles, and endless love.
