It took a while for Waffles to come out of his shell, but he is now very loving and affectionate. He will snuggle on the couch with you and thinks he belongs on your lap. He is great with our 2 household cats and has been friendly with dogs similar in size. House training is ongoing. Waffles will need a consistent routine, and to be supervised in the house as accidents will happen. He loves to go on walks and is generally good on a leash. He sleeps well in a crate at night.
The cold Alberta winter has been a big adjustment for Waffles. He does not like to wear a coat or boots. He can be sensitive to touch and will get very irritated when his feet are handled. He needs to be in a home with a fenced yard so that bathroom breaks can be quick and easy in colder weather.
Waffles has a part pup and part old man personality. He can be playful and silly but likes to sleep and not be disturbed. He would be best in a home with children that are 10+ years and respectful of boundaries.
