Good with dogs: Yes, gets along well with his foster siblings, and has been very social with other dogs in their neighborhood. He does like to play and it is cute to watch him exhibit the typical body language to initiate the playtime, like downward dog and repeatedly slapping front paws on the ground to initiate play

Stout is a lovely dog, calm and very laid back. Even when he takes treats from your hand he does so with such gentleness.
He doesn't seem to like water too much - did not want to go over his head to swim but was happy at the edge. At first was startled by loud noises but has seemed to settle down now that he is more relaxed.
Does not seem interested in playing catch. Likes his soft stuffie. We have only heard him bark once. He is house trained and has had no accidents in the house. He seems to be fine, but only had him in the vehicle twice, and for short distances. He does pull a bit on leash, but doesn't bolt and listens well when spoken to. He is a really wonderful dog, and would make a great companion for someone!
