Leo is a great dog and so fun to have around! He loves to meet new people and is always curious about people walking by on the street! We have been working on him being less reactive to other humans when we are walking and he has improved greatly.

Leo will require a very experienced home with an understanding of "pack life" and that humans must be the alpha. This will help Leo to feel more secure and protected. His crate is his haven and he is free to come and go as he pleases, which he does throughout the day and night. He is food-motivated and responds to treats as positive reinforcement. He is very gentle when he takes his treats!

Leo does not seem to suffer from any separation anxiety when someone is not home. He will whine a little bit but then quickly settles down. However, he will whine when he needs something and it sometimes takes some time to figure out what he wants! Usually it's to play or go outside. He loves the snow and going for walks!

Leo only barks when he is startled by a loud noise. Because of his fears and anxiety, Leo does startle easily but will feel more calm and relaxed in a safe, secure home. Small dogs don't seem to bother him but when he sees a big dog, he does have a reaction, but this can be worked on with some training. Sometimes he gets "grouchy" but his mood improves after some decompression time in his crate. Leo is a smart boy and he just wants to please you.

Oh...and watch out because not only will Leo steal your heart, he will steal your socks, too!
