Harper is a social butterfly. She wants to say hi to every human and every dog she meets on a walk. She will follow you around the house to check on what you're doing and to see if she can get a quick scratch out of you. She is a big, sweet goofball who loves cuddling on the couch as much as she loves going on walks.
She was initially quite timid when she first arrived in our home, but quickly blossomed and showed us her real sweet and playful side once she settled in. We feel she would do best in a home with a fenced back yard to wander around in off-leash as she doesn't have great recall yet. She is starting to learn her name and already knows to sit when putting on and taking off her harness for walks. She barks when she hears other dogs bark but will quickly settle down. She is motivated by treats so will be highly trainable.
She is slowly figuring out how to play with toys. She will take her toys into the backyard with her and nose them around. She seems most attached to her toy football, and we think she'd be a great catch partner once she gets the hang of recall.
She is completely house-trained and has not had a single accident since being in our home. She can be a bit mouthy in general and jumpy with other dogs when she gets excited - she is still a young dog after all! She is working on her leash-training but is able to sit most of the time on command when she gets overstimulated.
Harper is the sweetest dog and just needs a loving, patient home to work on her puppy behaviours and socialization. She would be a great addition to any family, maybe even as a second dog who to a confident dog that can help her learn great behaviours.
