Cadbury is a sweet soul, with just a little spunk. He loves to curl up and is just the right size to find a spot on your lap, your couch, and the corner of your bed. While fostering he had the chance to hang out with another dog we were looking after, and he showed his friendly and easy-going nature. He would likely do well with another playful dog because he seemed interested in playing (the other refused). Cadbury’s soft nature and small size makes him a great fit for a family, with or without an existing other pet. He hasn’t been around younger kids or cats; however, I wouldn’t see this being problematic for him.

Cadbury loves to play and chase, and nibble just a little bit. He arrived hating the leash and dug in his heels when it was walk time, however he now sees his leash and gets excited and walks very well on it. He enjoys his walks and smelling all the smells. He can be a bit skittish with loud noises or anything unfamiliar and looks to his human for comfort. He will bark if another person or dog comes over to say hello, but I don’t think this would be hard to break. He attaches quickly to whoever it is that gives him attention. He loves nothing more than snuggling up watching tv and taking a nap. He’s happiest with his people.

He’s done a great job in the kennel overnight and when we go out. House training has shown some improvement, but he has been rather unpredictable, he requires lots of trips outside to prevent accidents. If it’s a bit colder or wet, he will do his best to refuse going out. He would benefit from someone willing to spend time working with him to continue his house-training habits.
