Male, 1 year, chihuahua X, 6 lbs

Yupi is a sweet, beautiful little guy who is 1 year old and only weighs 6 pounds! He loves playing with our little fluffy dog. He follows him around everywhere and is learning a lot from him, like how to play with toys and trust us humans. Yupi is very cautious of peoples touches and he is not ready to be picked up or pet, this is something that will need to be worked on slowly. He loves to head butt us and he will sleep beside us on the couch. He also takes treats from our hands and is extremely gentle. He has become pretty comfortable with us but when new people enter the home, he is very skittish with them (them giving him treats helps). He is very food motivated and this will be the key in getting him to trust people. He still has a few accidents but for the most part he will do his business on the pee pads, he will also go on our deck outside (still scared to venture down to the yard). We have not worked on leash/walks. He has not been around cats. Yupi would do very well in a quiet house with no small kids. He needs a home that will give him the space and time he needs to come out of his shell and learn that the world isn’t as scary as he thinks it is.
