Introducing Drew, an energetic and lively puppy with a heart of gold. Though energetic, Drew can get a little nervous in new situations. He is still in the process of being house-trained, but with a little bit of guidance, he is making steady progress. Drew can get a little too excited during mealtimes, so I have been using a slow feeder or snuffle mat to help him eat moderately.
There have been no signs of barking outside the usual playing and excitement. If he hears noises from outside, he sits, watches, and looks more than anything. He's quite vocal during his "big stretches", and he'll let off a cute little squeal to let everyone know how good that stretch was!
Drew is an inquisitive but cautious pup who is still learning about the world around him. Although he is unsure about walking on a leash and harness, he is making progress. He is currently okay with short walks in the backyard and is gradually increasing the duration as Drew becomes more comfortable.
Drew is learning to sleep in a crate at night and is making significant progress. He shares his space with a calm and collected seven-year-old Beagle who is mentoring and teaching him proper doggy manners. Drew loves to play and is always up for a good time. He is receptive to corrections and follows the Beagle's example when learning new behaviors. He displays minor separation anxiety when I leave the house, but he normally finds a comfortable place to sleep and rests up (if not his crate).
In the short time that we have had Drew, he has become quite attached to us and is always by our side. He is a friendly pup who loves to be in people's company, whether sitting at our feet while we work or lying beside us while we watch TV.
In summary, Drew is a curious and energetic puppy who is eager to learn and explore the world with his new family. With the proper guidance and patience, Drew will become an excellent companion and an absolute joy to be around.
