This is Valerie, AKA, Valli from the valley in Cali.
This girl really is the sweetest dog, very easy going, good manners, loves to please. She would be an amazing partner if you wanted to get into ‘nose work’ with a dog, she makes little grunting noises when out walking on Nose Hill while she checks everything out. Her recall is really good although we have only practiced this is a fully fenced area and our home, she knows sit and lie down, we are working on leave it and off. Valli is quick to learn, loves to please and really enjoys praise and treats.
We have only heard her bark a couple of times, it was a friendly bark with lots of tail wagging attempting to get the attention of a neighbour walking past the yard with their dog.
She is incredibly inquisitive, loves to play ball and tug toys, chew on a benebone or nylabone and lie next to you on the couch. What we really love about her is that she is not an ‘in your face’ dog, she does not particularly snuggle but likes to be near. If on the couch she will curl up next to you and seems to enjoy having her soft silky ears stroked. Valli travels in the car with no issues and does enjoy a car ride, she sleeps well in her crate all night and is happy to spend time in the crate during the day as long as she has had exercise and has a large kong with good treats to keep her amused.

She has been great with her foster sister, great with other dogs, she does enjoy meeting all dogs and humans she comes across. We do not have children but have walked her through play areas and past schools, she does not appear to have an issue with children but would advise watching her with younger or not dog savvy kids in case she were to jump up and knock them over.

Her ideal home would be with a family with pet respectful children or active adults who perhaps work from home. She weighs 30 pounds and should max at around 33pounds, is long rather than tall and has a really cute curled waggy tail. If you meet Valerie you will find she really has a lot of love and joy in her and her gorgeous eyes will melt your heart.
