Roxanne is an easygoing, well-mannered sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be with her person(s) and snuggle!
She hasn’t met a stranger she didn’t like, including cats and other dogs of various sizes, although she has not met any children while in foster. She loves snuggling up in bed and sleeps soundly through the night. If you didn’t know she had sight issues, you might not even notice. Roxanne does not let her limited vision get in the way of following her people around, going for walks, navigating stairs, or getting up on the chair for a nice nap.
Despite coming from sunny California, Roxanne has not let the northern weather stop her from doing her business outside. While she hasn’t given any signals she needs out, if she is taken out on a regular schedule, she is not accident prone. She will use a peepad appropriately if you need to be away for longer stretches of time. While she does bark for a bit when first left on her own, she does settle down for a nice nap once she realizes you are gone.
Roxanne would do best in a quiet household and would love to have her person(s) around often. She would be just fine having other fur siblings but would likely be ok as an only pet as well. It is likely she would do best in a home without young children due to her petite size and eyesight.
