Female, 12 years, chihuahua X, 11 lbs

Cleo is a sweet old lady who is looking for her retirement home! When Cleo came into rescue, she weighed a whopping 18 lbs and desperately needed to lose weight and get any other health issues checked out. She has been with her loving foster home for a few months now and she is now weighing in at a very svelte 11 lbs! She has had a dental and is missing the majority of her teeth and she does have arthritis and she could still lose a couple more pounds. She is on a raw diet and this is recommended for the rest of her life. She would prefer a home without a lot of stairs (although she can go up but not down) and a home that can provide short leisurely walks. She loves car rides and is the perfect traveler; she just needs to stop for pee breaks. She has been getting used to using the back yard for her potty breaks now that the weather is nicer but is also pee pad trained. She is indifferent to other dogs and cats. She hasn’t been around children. She is content being left alone and depending on her mood, she’ll let you pick her up. She will yelp when she has had enough petting. She seems to especially like men, or maybe just likes to flirt. 😊 If you’re looking for an older, calm and easy going dog, Cleo may be the dog for you. She’s looking forward to getting settled into her furever home and enjoying the remainder of her time here in a comfy, warm and loving home.
