Danny's been the sweetest little house guest. He's very calm, quiet and loves to follow his humans around. He'll bark while playing, but will quietly watch when anyone or anything passes the window. He's a curious little guy and has been having fun exploring the backyard and all the funny little corners of our home. Being a puppy he will try to eat what he finds, but has gotten a lot better about differentiating dog fur from food :) Danny's a smart little guy and is happy to show off some of his new tricks, "sit", "paw" and "down", he's also getting quite good at "leave it". He's very food motivated so he's always extra pumped about his meals, but will sit when asked so I can place his bowl down and will learn tricks quickly when a treat is involved. With consistency and patience his house training is getting much better! He asks to go out during the night, but most nights he can hold it until 6am. He's starting to gain confidence with the dog door, but it hasn't been his main access to the yard. He's a fun little playmate to our 7 year old GSD mix and has been learning how to play nicely. He's met a couple other dogs, but hasn't had the opportunity to play with them, but he was very happy to see them and sniff. He hasn't met a cat yet, but if that changes I'll let everyone know how it goes! With his puppy mouthing behaviour I think a home with older kids would be best, but he's such an adaptable little guy that I'm sure he could fit in anywhere. His favourite spot is curled up with his humans, he hasn't been allowed to sleep on the bed yet, but I'm pretty sure that would make him the happiest. He's pretty good about chilling in his crate when he's not sure what to do, he's allowed his bully sticks there and nowhere else, so it's a nice little chill zone for him. He usually settles within 5 minutes of having the crate door shut and will speak up for a couple minutes every hour just to see if he can be let out yet. He's only had to stay in the crate for about 3hrs max one day, but he's a good little guy and can probably stay in for longer should the need arise. He's good in the car, settles down quickly for a snooze, I harness him in to keep him safe and deter him from trying to snuggle while driving, he did get car sick once, but hasn't had any problems since. He hasn't had all his shots yet so I can't say how he is on a leash, but he's a baby and will easily learn to be a good boy.
Any family that winds up with Danny will be lucky, he's a great little guy.
