McFly has had a bit of a rough start in life & could really use a champion. He was adopted as a puppy during Covid so he was rarely alone & he also didn’t meet many people outside of his home. His family later went through some turmoil with major life changes & ultimately made the decision to return him.

McFly (Jake) is a dog with such beautiful energy and a great demeanor. A few qualities/ traits about this stunning 3 year old boy:

- He is 100% house trained and crate trained, although I do not crate him while I am gone. He has been left up to 7 hours and he is 0% destructive. When he needs to go to the bathroom, he will let you know by going to the door.

- He walks like a dream on the leash. When we pass dogs, he's curious, but he has 0 reaction. He approaches with a wagging tail and is always happy to say hello to whoever is willing!

- He LOVES adventures. He would be an excellent running partner/ fit in well with a family who loves to hike. He loves water, he loves to run, and he loves to play with other dogs who can match his play style. He is also 10/10 happy to nap, and curl up with you whenever you feel like some down time. He's the perfect balance.

- He can be weary/nervous of men, but after his past, rightfully so. The key is slow introductions, and eventually once he has gained some confidence and found his people/home, I think this will go away. He just needs to feel supported, and that someone has his back. Since being with me, I have brought him around a variety of males and has had almost no fear with them.

- He does resource guard toys/ food. He requires to be fed away from other dogs to avoid the risk of him protecting his food. He has made a lot of positive progress with this, as he has shared water bowls with other dogs/ has had toys around other dogs and has been corrected by them if he guards.

- It was previously noted that he has separation anxiety, however that is not the case at all.

- He is great with women and children; very well-mannered and gentle.

- He does love to chase squirrels, but he has lived with a cat previously and had no issues.
