Sweetie is probably the best name for this smart and sweet little girl! Every time you go to give her scratches and loving she just melts into you and will quickly make her way into your heart and hopefully home!
Sweetie will be the best little shadow as she likes to be where her humans are and is happy just chilling on a big comfy dog bed on the floor or snuggled up with you.
Sweetie took really well to her crate and is fully crate trained!. It is her safe place she likes to go to if she needs it and where she gets her food.
Sweetie is fully house trained and will let you know if she has to go to the bathroom in her crate and will wait patiently for you to let her into a back yard or walk if you are just around the house.
Sweetie walks ready well with a halti on and but will pull sometimes if it's just leashed onto a collar. When on walks she is very excited to meet new friends, both furry and and human haha. One thing we need to work on is understanding boundaries when meeting new friends and realizing not every dog I meet likes to have my nose stuck up their hinny.
When sweetie is eating she benifits from a slow feed bowl and likes to have her meals split into two meals vs one a day.
We are working on manners in the house and not counter surfing! Or stealing items that smell like the human friends and stealing them away into my crate.
I get along well with the resident dogs of the house and have a lot of fun playing with them in the back yard. Sometimes sweetie does not realize when she is playing to hard and needs to be reminded to be a bit more gentle.
Sweetie really likes the resident cat of the house! But does not know how to interact with her and needs supervision when around cats as she will chase.
Sometimes she will bark around new people or to warn that the neighbours are in their back yard but for the most part sweetie is bomb proof and will lie on her bed while the resident dogs will bark at someone outside.
Sweetie has not been around small kids but I don't see her having issues other than training on not jumping up, which is something we are currently working on, she is a quick learner so I don't see it taking to long, she has already come a long way in a short time!
Sweetie does not like car rides all that much, she will lay down and drool and not move, but does not get very sick.
As far as I can tell sweetie does not have extreme anxiety, and does not mind spending time in her crate while I am gone. She will get up and follow you around the house.
