Meet adoptable Gin 🐶🩵

Gin is honestly the sweetest, most affectionate dog in the entire universe, no joke 🌎 I can not say enough good things about this guy. 🐾 It is impossible not to fall in love with this gentle giant.

Gin attended a big adoption event the other day and was the star of the show 💫 Everyone adored him 🥰 Gin LOVED every minute of it! I'm certain he would've been adopted that day, but I didn't have the chance to write him a bio yet, so he wasn't listed as adoptable. That's great news for you though, the human reading this 🐶

Gin arrived in Canada back in June from an over-crowded kill-shelter in California 🌴 He was found on the streets as a stray, travelling in a pack with his sister Tonic, and 2 other dogs. It breaks my heart to think that such an AMAZING dog would've likely been euthanized if BARC's hadn't stepped up to save him 💔

Gin was adopted by a family shortly after arriving but sadly, after spending 5 months with them he was surrendered back into our care. Gin struggled being left at home alone, and they couldn't provide him with a other furry companion, or enough exercise and stimulation to keep him happy. So they decided it was best for Gin to find a better suited home.

He is currently back in the same foster home as he was in previously, with 4 other dogs, and a cat to keep him company during the day while his foster is at work and he is thriving!

The ideal home for this giant dude would be on an acreage, or in a home with a big backyard. Another furry companion for him is a MUST 🐾

It's no secret that Gin is a big boy, although he doesn't seem to know it, lol 🙈 He's convinced otherwise. He's happiest curled up on the lap of his humans, even if he barely fits. He loves to cuddle with his foster siblings as well, one of which is a cat and two dogs 😺🐶🐶

Gin is potty-trained 🚽 and walks well on a leash, he pulls a little bit when he gets excited though.

Gin isn't a fan of his crate which is understandable, you can't blame the guy, he's been a rolling stone most of his life 🪨 He prefers to roam freely throughout the house and spends the day sleeping on the sofa while his foster is at work, occasionally getting up to glare at the odd Amazon guy.

Honestly, once I saw how well-behaved he was, I allowed him to roam our house freely with our other pets. I'm not crazy though 🛸 he's still young and this is a new environment, so I make sure to put everything that he could get into out of reach, and he hasn't been destructive at all.

Gin Fun Facts 🐶

💡 Gin is hilarious to watch when he plays with other dogs, he's super clumsy and uncoordinated, barrel rolls and somersaults are a common occurrence for this crazy guy 🐒

💡 When Gin runs he looks very majestic 🦄 He is as graceful as a gazelle... a gazelle with giraffe legs, a hippo body, and the hair of Pantene Pro-V model 🦒

💡 Gin is getting better at walking on a leash, he wants to meet everyone though, he is a real prince charming 👑

💡 He's a pretty chill dude, with calm sloth-like energy!

He has a wonderful temperament, loves everyone he meets, and has the silliest personality, sure to brighten even the darkest days!

Fingers crossed he finds his perfect fur-ever family soon because I am at great risk of foster failing with this guy and adopting him myself 😍 I'm telling you, he's a total gem 💎
