Meet the sweetest lovable dog ever, Penny. She loves cuddles and snuggles. She walks great on a leash (sits at every corner and doesn't pull), is house trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night. She doesn't chew on anything she's not supposed to. She does great in her crate if you leave for the day, and will be so excited to see you when you get home! She is extremely smart and knows the following commands: sit, down, stay, shake a paw, heal, place, and we are working on roll over. She loves treats (dried liver is her favorite) so is very receptive to training. She is still somewhat fearful of certain strangers coming into the house, but we have been working with an amazing trainer- Sam at Koulter K9 who has taught us the best steps to have her meet a new person (very simple- she stays in the crate for a few minutes when someone arrives, then let her go to them on her own time, and tons of treats!) She is making fantastic progress with this and more info will be provided. There is also one more training session with Sam that will be gifted to the new owner. She has a medium energy level- she is happy with one walk a day (as long as it's not too cold, but her adorable jacket helps!) and loves to play fetch or run around in the backyard with a stick. She loves eating snow and ice cubes are another of her favorite treats. She is truly one of the sweetest dogs ever, unfortunately her owner's situation has changed and they can no longer keep her. She will come with her favorite bed and toys, as well as her winter jacket. She will do best in a home that can take the time to introduce visitors appropriately, or a home that doesn't have a lot of new people coming and going. The trainer also recommended taking her to a lot of different places (walks in different areas, stores that allow dogs, etc) to have her experience new situations. She truly is a dream. She'll happily cuddle up with you and is always there to give lots of kisses.
