Cowboy is a social little dude who LOVES his people. He follows you around like you're the sun that lights up his world. If you're sitting down, he's coming over for some pets, and will even bestow some gentle little kisses upon you as thanks. When his people come home, he does happy zoomies as he greets them.
The only thing better than his people is food. Food is delicious, he loves it, and he wants whatever you're eating. Instead, he's learning to settle for these things we call "dog treats" which are certainly not as good, but definitely still acceptable in his mind.
Cowboy also enjoys other dogs. He has two medium-sized foster sisters at the moment and is great with both of them. He leaves the senior alone and plays with the younger dog.
While he hasn't met kids or cats in our care, I believe he would be good with both because of his chill nature.
Despite being just a little guy, he enjoys going on walks and does very well on his leash.
Cowboy barks at strangers outside the yard, but is quiet in the house.
He's kennel-trained and is used to his foster parents working outside the home. As an added bonus, he does his business outside quite reliably.
Cowboy rides well in the car, though he will try to wiggle his way into the shotgun position (don't we all).
If we weren't told that he was 8, we wouldn't believe it. Cowboy still has lots of spunk and is a happy, chill little guy who will make an excellent partner for the right person or family. He's currently being fostered in Edmonton.
