Nashville is a compact golden/lab mix that is looking for a best friend or family that wants to spend a lot of time with him. He loves his humans more than anything. He is happy to be by your side and watch you work. Nashville is great in the house! He is fully potty-trained and doesn't get bothered by much (i.e., lightning, doorbells, loud sounds). In the house, he rarely barks, is very calm and likes to follow you around. He is very loyal and LOVES to be petted. Nashville has separation anxiety and that is something that needs to be worked on. He gets anxious when you leave the room or for any period of time. Nashville doesn't get into much trouble, but once in a while he might steal a shoe or two!
Outside of the house, Nashville needs a confident leader that is willing to learn or is experienced in leash training. He tends to pull when he sees other dogs, humans, wild animals, or hears loud car sounds. When Nashville doesn't feel safe, he tends to start jumping and nipping. Even though he's quite small for a golden/lab mix, he can jump and nip hard therefore he needs to be with someone that makes him feel secure. Since he gets overwhelmed quickly, he does best with multiple short walks a day. If he works on his leash training, Nashville will make a great outdoor adventure buddy.
