Mr. Bronc is the cutest little guy, he looks like a stuffed bear just came to life and started wandering around the house. Don't let that fool you though, he is small but mighty. Ture to his breed he is bright, spunky, confident, and intelligent. He is not a nervous dog, and approaches new things with curiosity. He has a watchdog nature and will bark to alert you if he hears or sees unknown things, so he would likely not be a good dog for an apartment or shared housing. He is very quick to learn though, and in just a few days got a good handle on what things we don't need warnings for. He is also very obedient and knows his basic commands, and will do them quickly and consistently once he knows what you want. He is housebroken and has not had a single accident since he arrived. He is good with any amount of stairs, good on a leash, and non-destructive. He has never even tried to chew anything that wasn't a toy. He is good in his crate but not a fan, and will sleep quietly through the night but will whine in the morning when he hears you wake up, and stays quietly during the day as well unless he hears a noise like the doorbell.

He is very easy to handle, and will let you touch his feet, face, roll him over etc. I have trimmed his face and nails, etc. since he's been here and he stands calmly for all of it. He is a long-haired dog so he will need consistent grooming, and was very matted when he came in. He has shown no food or toy aggression at all with my dog, and gets along with her well but doesn't seem too interested in initiating play. He waits patiently for his turn for treats and takes them gently. Although he is very food motivated he eats his meals at a calm pace, no worries someone will come and take it from him (it drives my dog crazy waiting on him). He is an independent little guy and is happy to lie on the floor or out in the yard and play with his pile of toys, or chase any ball you throw, he even brings it halfway back! I think he would be happy being an only dog, his focus is on his person and he will play with you and follow you from room to room so you don't get lost. Being a big dog in a small body he doesn't want to be carried around much and will squirm to get down after a short time, he has feet thank you very much. He is also quite bouncy and will hop straight up and down when he is excited or wants a toy....he doesn't jump on you, just hops around like a happy rabbit.

He is quite clever and will nose open a door if, for example, you accidentally went to the bathroom without him. He also has a fondness for raspberries and spends his evenings plucking the berries off the bottom of my bushes to supplement his meals. He likes his stuffies, the bigger the better. His favourite is a stuffed bear the same size as him...sometimes it's hard to tell them apart. He has no tail to speak of, was probably born that way, but will give you a butt wiggle and a smile with his little pink tongue sticking out. He has been an easy foster and deserves the best home.
