ID # RT20240908-1
Estimated Age: November 15, 2023
Sex: Neutered Male
Estimated Breed: Shepherd Mix
Weight: Unknown
Good with Dogs: Loki is good with bigger dogs who do not growl or make any aggressive movements, he does NOT like small dogs.
Good with Cats: Loki has seen a couple cats and hasn't been too concerned about them. Unsure if he would be great with them.
Good with Children: He has only been around teenagers, but with him still being a puppy, he does jump, and does bite/chew alot so I don't think he would be great with younger children who do not know boundarys.

Adoption Fee: $725
Do they bark? He is not a constant barker, he's actually very quiet. But when he sees deer, or when put in his kennel and we leave the house he barks for a few minutes until settled.
Are they house-trained? Yes, but he has marked his territory, and pees on blankets/beds. He saw the vet and they said this was a behavior issue.
Are they good in the car? Loki is fantastic in the vehicle. He usually lays down and sleeps.
Are they good on leash? He does need some reminders, and he likes to bite his leash, so holding it out of his reach. He also gets overwhelmed with noises and tends to lay down mid walk if he hears dogs barking or any loud noises.
Loki is such a sweet, loving, cuddly puppy who wants to please his humans.
He loves all his toys, but destroys every single thing in his path of chewing.
Loki is crate trained, he has slept in his kennel at night with zero problems, and also goes into his kennel while we are away from home, as he is a counter surfer. He also scratches doors to let us know he wants to go outside and when someone leaves and he wants to be with them. We have been trying to work on this with him, he is doing much better.
He's great with every human he meets, but is dog selective.
When approached by another dog that growls he gets defensive and snaps back. But absolutely wants to play and run and wrestle with dogs who are calm and don't scare him. Little dogs Are almost definitely a no go.
He played with a male golden retriever, and they wrestled and ran and played very nicely.
Loki wants to be with his humans at all times, you move, he moves.
He is very treat motivated, he has learned : sit, shake a paw, down, gentle (when getting rough and biting) and no. he's working on "wait, drop it (toys when playing fetch) and no scratching! We get him to sit at the door when we get his harness on and taking him outside.
Loki is very sweet and has had a rough past with other dogs, but I think he would strive in a household with a fenced yard that he can run and play and I think he would love another dog to be with to cause all the mischief with.
We do not have a fully fenced yard, but let him off leash to play fetch and he sticks around, but does not have a recall so we do very short bouts of off leash.
He has a VERY sensitive tummy.
No Proteins other than fish, any diet switch ups don't sit well with him. So treats are limited to specific ones as well as food.
Loki is the most precious dog I have ever met. He loves all the rubs and scratches, he loves all the human attention, walks and toys!
This boy deserves the most loving, patient home. I think he would thrive with agility training, he's got an amazing nose and he is FAST.
