Lennie is a gentle, happy-go-lucky dog, full of energy and a cuddle bug. He is fully house-trained and gets along well with other dogs with proper introductions. He plays well with the resident dogs. Lennie is so full of life that he can jump extremely high, so a high-fenced backyard would be ideal to prevent him from going off on his adventures. Everyone Lennie has encountered on walks and at home has been well-received since he just wants to be loved. He is learning that the dog crate is a safe place, but he occasionally is vocal about not wanting to be in it. Lennie loves long walks and is used to going at least twice per day. He walks well on a leash. On walks, he is only reactive to other dogs if they are reactive. His recall isn't the best so that would require some training.

When Lennie first arrived, he was missing tufts of hair all over his body. Since he's been in foster care, his hair has been growing back as he's decompressing and learning that the world doesn't have to be such a stressful place. He is also currently awaiting surgery to address his cherry eye.

This affectionate boy would do well with an active family or a single-person household with another dog to play with. Lennie is excited to meet his forever family so consider this adorable addition to your family!
