BackWaffle
Adopted
Description
Male, 3 years, Staffordshire terrier X, 49 lbs
Waffle may seem like a tough guy but he is really a sweetheart. He has been through a lot in his short life, which makes him be very cautious, timid, and shy in the beginning. He takes a while to trust, and become comfortable with new places. It took him a little bit to get used to going up and down stairs, but he has become comfortable with them now. He also tends to stop walking during walks and will sometimes need to be carried (it is yet to be understood what makes him freeze). He is good on car rides, he lays down and once he becomes comfortable will stand up and look around.
He needs consistency and routine, and learns quickly. He is treat oriented, likes to have blankets to lay on and loves to play with his stuffed animals. When he wants to play he tends to nibble at your hands which means he may not be suited for a home with small children. He also does not do well with cats or other dogs at the moment, which means he would be best in a home as the only pet. He does bark when he is outside sometimes but usually stops once told to. He is a mild energy dog. He really loves to nap, but when he wants to play he goes all out. He is a very friendly dog around people, and is just the cutest and sweetest boy. I am very saddened to see him go, but I know he will be so happy in someone's forever home.
Waffle is being fostered in Airdrie.
