Male, 3 years, Staffordshire terrier X, 49 lbs
Upon approach to the kennel the dog is in the back but comes forward when coaxed. He is very shy and timid and needs to be carried through the kennels. Once he is comfortable he warms up and is affectionate and attention seeking. He is sweet and calm. He wants to play with toys and be given pets. He takes treats gently. He shows no evidence of prior training. When presented with another dog he is very scared and freezes, he is highly uncomfortable around other dogs and is not recommended to be in a home with other dogs.
This dog has just arrived in care and is currently unavailable for adoption. It will go into foster care for 1 week so we can get to know their personalities better. After the first week, we will post their adoption biographies and review adoption applications or announce that the foster provider has adopted them. At that time, if you would like to be considered in the event they are accepting applications, please fill out an adoption application.
Arrived from California January 10.
