Meet Fat Joe! He is the sweetest guy who loves meeting new people who will give him attention. He would spend all day cuddling up with you if that was an option.
Although diagnosed with PRA (progressive retinol atrophy), you would have no idea this guy is quickly losing his vision. This genetic condition means that he will be completely blind in the next 6-12 months, unfortunately with no treatment. He experiences no pain with this; however, he does get nervous if he notices movement far away that he can't fully make out what it is. He does bark and try to protect his home if that occurs but can usually be diverted easily with treats. He has no problem with stairs or obstacles, but that may change with his condition.
He is house trained and very good at doing his business outside and coming right back inside when he is done. He is crate trained, spending time in there when you are out of the house or when it's time for bed. He likes to be in every room with you so he will follow you around for the most part but sometimes will get diverted to doing his own exploration in the home.
We are working on getting him comfortable during walks. He goes into protection mode if he sees someone across the street so at this time, we walk him with his calming cap on, so he doesn't have too much stimuli. He is a strong puller on the leash as he's very excited to get outside to explore.
He is a good boy sitting and waiting for his food and loves treats so he's very food motivated. We can't wait for him to find his forever home!
· Do they bark? Only when he can see movement in the distance but can't make out what it is. Does not bark at the door, or if new people enter the house.

· Are they good on leash? Pulls on leash
