Carl has adapted to his new home environment quickly and comfortably.

He enjoys soft blankets on his very own couch or snuggles with as many people as can fit on one couch.

He checks in regularly for hugs, pets and kisses. He is very affectionate!

Carl is a fast and clever student. He is learning house rules and following them fairly well. Treats help!

Carl enjoys the backyard but still strongly prefers to go out for a walk to relieve himself. We take him out every 3 to 4 hours.

He is very food motivated, curious and will always be by your side when the cupboard or fridge door is opened. He still needs frequent
reminders to keep his paws off the counter or table.

He is sharing a home with 2 cats and is very curious of them. He will smell them and normally ignore them unless they run...

Carl has not met very young children while with us but he lives with a teenager (17) and they get along great. He has also met many new
teenagers at the house and is very friendly with them.

His tail never stops wagging, he is so happy! It is also a relentless little whip, coffee mugs and faces will fall to the tail!!

He matches the level of energy emulated. He is very calm, yet he also loves to play. He is a young dog, keeping his enthusiasm in check when playing is important, he is strong and has lots of energy stored :)

Carl has been out to Bass Pro shop and many other pet friendly stores and is very well behaved and loves meeting new people.

He has gone for a hike in Kananaskis and was a great trail companion. Curious and well behaved on trail. Greeting other trail walkers and would have taken a sandwich from a lap given the opportunity!

He walks on leash very well. He has learned and follows basic commands, ( sit, lay down, stay, shake a paw) while on walks he mostly
ignores other dogs. His recall needs a lot of work still.

He is crate trained and we leave him in it when we leave the house and at night while we sleep. Carl cries when left in the crate during the day but when we return, he is calm and composed.

He sleeps in his crate at night with no issues. The crate is in our room so he can see us or he will cry.

Carl will match your level of activity. He can play and walk for long distances or just sleep tightly next to you.

He will bark to alert when he hears noises outside ( could be the garbage truck, Amazon driver, or another dog in a backyard).

Carl has been very flexible and has adapted well to his new surroundings.
