Personality Traits: Coleman is exactly what you would expect in a goofy oversized puppy! His feet are as big as his heart and he loves the attention of his foster family, human and dog alike! Cole can be a little on the nervous side when meeting new people, however once he knows there is nothing to be afraid of, he will quickly become your best friend. He is a handsome boy with his striking green eyes and pale coat, and he receives compliments wherever he goes!

Pastimes and Preferences: Coleman loves to play, especially in a game of fetch (he will even bring the toy back to you most of the time!). He typically gets the zoomies at least once a night, which is comical to watch as he tries to fly from one room to another with his gangly legs. He definitely enjoys having a yard to run around in, and can often be seen throwing his toy around for himself and zooming around the yard! He is definitely a chewer, and does well having lots of different toy options to keep him out of trouble.

Behavioural Traits: Cole loves his foster siblings, who are both adult dogs (10 and 6). He is very good about respecting the boundaries his older foster sister, and will engage in play with any dog who is willing to have a wrestle! Cole has met many dogs and done well with all of them. He can be a little much for small dogs especially due to his size and rambunctious nature, so a playmate a little closer to his size is probably ideal. Cole also lives with a cat and has met other cats with his foster mom at work. Coleman loves his cat friends and is very good about not chasing or bugging them! His prey drive seems fairly low, so probably would adjust well to a farm or being around other small critters. I bet he would even play with a playful cat if given the chance. Coleman has also been around young children and done well. He is very much in the puppy phase of mouthing and biting, so this should be taken into consideration in a home with small children. Otherwise I do not see any problems with him being around children as he is just an easy going loving guy at heart.

Training and Accomplishments: Cole is fully house trained. He may have an occasional accident at night but that is typically if he didn’t get let out right before bedtime. He is crate trained and will easily settle into his crate for the day once he has had a morning walk. Given that he is in a bit of a mischievous phase and can sometimes get into things that he shouldn’t, I would not leave him alone in the house without being crated for his own safety. He will likely be able to adjust to being left out once he is out of the puppy phase. At night time he is left free in the house and likes to sleep on the floor in his foster moms room. Coleman does well on his walks, is non-reactive to passing dogs and only pulls when sometimes smells VERY interesting! His basic obedience is coming along but he still has lots to learn and is a quick learner.

Medical Concerns: None. He has had a bit of a sensitive stomach after recovering from a GI bug but likely no allergies.

Ideal Home: Cole would likely thrive in just about any home, however I think his ideal fit would be a moderately active household. He would likely do best with a yard however an active individual without a yard would probably be fine as well! He would easily become a lovely dog to a family with kids, or any other home looking for the perfect companion!

Coleman is a beautiful, playful and loving boy who is ready to find his furever family!
