Who is looking for the perfect middle-aged snuggle bug to add joy to their life? If you don’t want to go through the crazy puppy stage but still want a dog with plenty of pep in their step, then Gucci may be your perfect match.

Gucci (AKA Goldie) is a little golden ray of sunshine—hence her nickname. She is a happy-go-lucky, extremely affectionate, adorable little wiggle butt who appears to be a Beagle-Chihuahua mix. She has the biggest doe eyes and the most expressive Dobby ears.

Gucci has so much love to give and bonds quickly with her people. She gets along fine with other dogs with proper introductions, but she is much more people-focused. She doesn’t like when new people or dogs get right in her face upon first meeting—she just needs a little time to get used to them—but it doesn’t take long at all. She will thrive in a home with dogs that respect her space or as your one and only. She has not been exposed to cats or young children, but she’s likely best suited for an adult-only home or one with kids over the age of 10.

This girl LOVES to cuddle. She will squeeze her way past the two resident dogs to claim the prime cuddle position with her human and, if you don’t give her enough attention, she will gently paw at your face. She can get a little possessive of her people, so clear boundaries will need to be set.

The only thing Gucci loves as much as her people is food. She is highly food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. She gets a bit too excited when treats are handed out, so we have been working on the “gentle” command when taking them.

Overall, she is a very easy dog. She enjoys car rides, going for a daily walk, and then curling up on your lap to relax. She has had only a few accidents in the house since arriving, so she appears to be about 90% potty trained. She does okay on a leash but tends to zig-zag on walks, so you have to watch your step. She is fully crate trained—she lets out a few initial whines but then settles in quietly for a solid eight hours through the night. She is non-destructive when left alone, but since her few potty accidents have happened during those times, it’s best to crate her when stepping out to run errands.

If you’re ready to receive a ton of love and have treats to provide, apply to meet Gucci! She will bring someone a lot of joy, affection, and laughs.
