A very friendly, loving, affectionate, confident, and social dog. He is playful and loves being greeted by strangers—even if they just trimmed his nails! A quiet and calm dog, he hardly barks but will bark at the vacuum.
He gets excited when he sees someone he knows but calms down quickly when shown love. After playing or going for a walk, he takes a nap. He does get nervous when big cars drive past him on walks. He responds to any word you say, doesn’t get into mischief, and doesn’t beg for food—though he may stare at you or occasionally leave you alone (depends on what he smells, haha). He enjoys playtime, gets a burst of energy in open spaces, and loves to engage with you.
He is a smart dog, highly motivated by treats. He loves his yellow ball and enjoys playing catch. With bigger, softer toys, he likes to whip them around, haha. He does very well in a crate and goes in on his own when it gets late. He does not go on the couch unless invited.
Friendly with other dogs, he helps them come out of their shell. He does well on a leash—he may stare and slightly pull if he sees another dog or a squirrel, but he does not bark. He would do well in a home with another playful dog or as the only pet. He loves attention, so he’ll be fine alone too. Overall, he’s a really sweet, awesome dog!
