Sodapop is a social butterfly, thriving in environments with plenty of attention and affection. He adores being around children, despite having plenty of puppy energy. As a sensitive soul, Sodapop can get nervous if scolded, so positive reinforcement training is recommended.
This clever pup is currently learning the ropes of crate training and is making great progress with consistency. He's also doing well with housebreaking, reliably going to the bathroom outside. Sodapop walks fairly well on a leash, although he may require additional practice to build confidence. Fortunately, he's highly food-motivated, making training a bit easier.
Sodapop is living with four other dogs and is quickly learning the ins and outs of pack dynamics. He's a natural people-pleaser, forming strong bonds with his human family. While his compatibility with cats is unknown, his loving nature suggests he may do well with feline friends.
Sodapop does experience separation anxiety, which may cause him to cry when left alone in his kennel and at bed time. His new owners will need to provide patience, love, and consistent training to help him overcome this challenge. There has been a great improvement since the first day.
