Let us reintroduce Link who is now available for adoption! Link hasn’t had a normal puppyhood due to her ongoing issues with regurgitation, but it hasn’t slowed her down one bit! As many of our followers know, she recently had surgery to try to bring some improvement. After the longest 2 weeks of kennel rest, and a lot of protesting, Link is finally back to being a puppy and getting in all the zoomies and wrestling matches she can! To look at her, you would never know what she’s been through, she’s growing like a weed, keeping up with her foster siblings, and thriving! Link will still require some modifications to ensure she gets in all the calories she needs to keep those energy levels up. She’s not one where you can throw a bowl of kibble down and let her eat, as she will still experience regurgitation episodes. To safely manage this, she’s fed soft food, or softened kibble while she’s standing upright. She does not require any special setups to eat, just a little bit more of your time. Link’s forever family will need to be committed to this for her whole life. Perspective adopters will be shown what works for Link, as there has been a lot of trial and error, and to ensure a smooth transition for her and a lot less stress for her future forever family. Even if you do everything right, she’ll still experience regurgitation issues on occasion (maybe once or twice a week), but thankfully they happen quickly and then she continues as if nothing happened.
Link is an energetic puppy who loves to be with other dogs, run around the back yard, and get into mischief any chance she gets. Your socks are not safe with her around so you will need to make sure you keep them off the floor! She’s just restarting her potty training, as her surgery and recovery time set her back, but she’s a smart girl so will likely pick it up quickly. She gets along great with the resident cat, always wanting to give her kisses, even though the cat isn’t thrilled. Link really is just your typically puppy, who wants to play and cuddle and do all the puppy things, she just needs a couple modifications from her forever people to make sure she stays that way.
