Loonie (aka Laci) is a young, playful little girl full of love who will steal your heart with one look from those beautiful big brown eyes.
Hi, my name is Loonie (Laci) and I love love love my new life. Who knew there was so much to see and smell in the great outdoors? And best of all, I’m never hungry and I have a cozy, warm bed every night.
Laci is as loving as she is adventurous—well-behaved, quiet, and a quick learner. She will spend hours on your lap, loves to bask in a patch of sunshine (indoors or outdoors), and is always up for a walk or playtime in the park. She loves to run around hoping to engage my dog in a game of tag (he’s not interested), so she switches to leapfrog. And she’s fast!
Being food-motivated, learning name recall was easy. She is leash trained, though she can zigzag in front of you depending on the smells of the moment. For Laci, a walk is for exploring and getting to know her surroundings.
Laci is the best night sleeper—at least 9 hours in my house. She is completely crate trained and has no issues being in her kennel area when I go out. I’ve started giving her house access if I’m only going to be away for a few hours, and she has not disappointed me.
Laci can be a little intense when it comes to food. She devours her meals like a vacuum, which is why we’re working on being calm before eating. She understands the concept and is improving. She also understands “No” if she approaches the other dogs’ feeding stations or if I’m eating from my lap.
Although she loves to be with her human, she is not a Velcro dog. She’s happy to spend time in the yard enjoying the sun and doesn’t bark at neighbors working in their gardens. She responds best to a calm voice when receiving behavior correction and, as I mentioned, is a quick learner.
Are you ready to be Laci’s forever home?
