Meet Charley! He is a 2-year-old dachshund mix who plays hard and cuddles harder. He absolutely loves the outdoors—whether it’s watching through a window for hours or going for walks around the neighbourhood. He is always happy to meet new people and pups. In true dachshund fashion, he is a certified bug and bunny hunter. He is also a big fan of car rides, especially with his head out the window to take in all the new smells.
Indoors, you can find Charley playing with his favourite toys, practicing his commands (he is a very quick learner!), or cuddling up next to you on the couch. Always curious and part of the action, Charley will be your loyal little shadow. He takes the stairs like a pro, sometimes even two at a time. He absolutely loves treats and belly rubs, and he has the cutest happy whines and goofy grunts. His crate training is going very smoothly, and he sleeps soundly in it every night.
Don’t let his small frame fool you—this confident boy has a big personality with lots of strength. He is still quite young, so he’s working on some classic adolescent behaviours like leash manners and not nipping or barking when excited. At this time, he has not been tested with cats or children, so slow introductions would be helpful.
