Aurora is a stunning, sweet, and affectionate Husky with a funny personality and an even bigger heart. True to her breed, she’s lively, curious, playful, and loves being on the move. She’s happiest exploring outside, running in the yard, or joining you on long walks. She’s developing a love for tug-of-war, is learning how to play fetch, and thrives when her busy mind and body are engaged.
Aurora has a gentle, cuddly side too. She adores being close to her people—following you around the house, snuggling in for hugs, and soaking up affection. Despite her adventurous past, it’s clear she’s lived in a home before: she’s kennel-trained, sleeps through the night, and has excellent indoor manners. She’s eager to make friends with other dogs and does well on walks, though she’s still working on perfecting her leash skills.
Aurora is a smart girl who needs daily activity and plenty of mental stimulation to keep her happy and out of mischief. She would do best in an active household where she can be both physically exercised and emotionally included. She rarely barks and is surprisingly calm for a Husky, though she may whine a little when she worries you might leave.
Because of her strong prey drive, a home without cats would be the best fit.
Her Story
Aurora’s journey began on the Tenango–Toluca highway in Mexico, where she was found running scared, trying to escape a group of male dogs while in heat. She was rescued just in time from a life of danger, exploitation, and endless litters—a fate many unspayed female dogs sadly face. Like many Huskies, she was likely abandoned when her natural energy and vocal personality became too much for someone unprepared for the breed.
Now spayed, vaccinated, and safe in foster care, Aurora is ready to leave the past behind and find her forever family—a family who will give her the love, structure, and adventure she’s always deserved.
