💛 Personality
Canela is a small, sweet, calm, and very obedient dog. She’s incredibly well-behaved, affectionate, and deeply attached to people. She loves being held, cuddled, and following her human everywhere. Everything about her suggests she once had a home—she behaves like a dog who was used to indoor life. She’s perfect for a loving family looking for a gentle and grateful soul.

📖 Life Story
Canela was found in the median of the Tenango–Toluca highway after being hit by a car. A concerned citizen posted her location on social media, saying she was still alive but injured and unable to move. Without wasting a second, we rushed to the site with help from local authorities. Miraculously, Canela was still breathing—though in pain, with an internal wound and a severe infection.
She had a broken leg and had been lying there for days without medical attention, abandoned, just waiting for someone to care. She was only hours away from being fatally hit again. But Canela is a fighter. She was rushed to the vet, where she was hospitalized and treated for serious trauma.
Thanks to orthopedic specialist Dr. Raúl Reynoso, she underwent successful surgery. Against all odds, Canela is now fully recovered. She just needs good nutrition and supplements to help strengthen her bones and leg.
Despite everything she’s been through, Canela never lost her sweetness. She’s gentle, loving, and endlessly grateful to those who care for her. There’s no doubt she once belonged to a home—until she was cruelly abandoned.
