Meet Dr. Hooves a brave and joyful guy who doesn’t let being blind and deaf slow him down! He’s full of energy, loves to explore, and approaches every day with an enthusiastic tail wag. Making him an ideal companion for a family who can provide regular walks and engaging activities to help burn energy.
Despite his sensory challenges, he adapts quickly and thrives with routine. He’s been doing great with house training and only has the occasional accident as he continues to learn. He’s also great in his crate and settles well when it’s time to rest. Car rides are another favorite—he relaxes easily and enjoys the journey.
Dr. Hooves walks well on a leash, though with his visual impairment he may gently bump into you now and then as he finds his way. He’s generally quiet, but he’ll let out an excited bark during moments of play or when he catches his reflection in a window.
As a puppy, he’s curious about everything, and that curiosity often leads straight to his mouth—so close supervision is important while he continues learning what’s okay to chew. He is fantastic with young kids and loves being part of the action. He’s also good with cats, though he’s always eager to play, so a confident or patient cat would be ideal.
His playful spirit makes him a joy to have around, and his resilience is inspiring. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic companion who will reward your patience and love with endless affection, Dr. Hooves might just be your perfect match. He can’t see or hear the world, but he sure feels it—and he’s ready to feel at home with you!
