Meet Werklund (aka Ladybug) 🐞💛

Affectionately known as Ladybug in her foster home, this sweet girl has had a rough start before arriving in BARC’s care. Because of that, she is timid and cautious with new people at first. With love, patience, and gentle care, her snuggly and fun personality is truly starting to shine through.

Ladybug is completely house trained and will scratch at a door to let you know she needs to go outside. Any door will do, and sometimes even kitchen cupboards make the list. She is becoming a very happy girl who loves to trot around the house with her foster siblings before settling into a cozy spot for a snooze, especially if snuggles are included.

She enjoys going for walks and happily wags her tail the entire time, but she is not a hiking or adventure dog. A movie marathon followed by a nap is much more her speed. 🍿😴

Ladybug does not yet know how to play with toys and is still unsure how to play with other dogs. She will need a very patient canine friend and slow introductions to help her feel safe and, hopefully, learn how to play in time.

Because of her timid nature, Ladybug would do best in a calm forever home without small children, where she can truly relax and enjoy a life filled with comfort, kindness, and love. 🐾💕
