Meet MacLean Cameron - known as Mac for short,
This sweet and easy going boy doesn't seem to ever have an off day.
He arrived from California on a very cold and snowy day but all the changes don't seem to bother him much.
Since arriving into care Mac has been a happy little guy. He loves to play with toys and is an absolute fetch enthusiast.
Mac is incredibly curious about the world and likes to do a full sniff inspection in new places.
He is for the most part potty trained but has had some accidents inside due to the cold temperatures.
We have introduced him to our family pack which includes three other dogs and a dachshund foster sister. They get along great and has not shown signs of resource guarding or reactivity to other dogs so far.
Mac is food motivated and has not been picky at all with kibble, so further training will be breez.
He is currently untested with cats but does not seem to have a high prey drive. He does not currently live with young kids but think he would do well with older children as he is a jumper. He can jump several feet when excited and will easily get zoomies when greeting family.
Like many Chihuahuas, he expresses excitement and feelings by being vocal so a detached home would best.
Mac can be a little skittish and unsure when meeting new people and barks at them sometimes. But after a slow approach and the opportunity to get a good sniff and maybe ball to fetch he becomes an instant best friend.
Mac is crate trained & puts himself in his crate when he's ready to call it night.
Mac does not like wearing a jacket or harness and can be stubborn while getting these on. He's slowly but surely realizing that he needs to bundle up in the Canadian winter.
Mac's estimated age is six-seven years old. But, age is clearly just a number for Mac. He could play fetch or tug for hours and has an outgoing bubbly personality.
