Meet Darlene, a sweet little girl who is patiently waiting for her forever home where she can finally settle in for good. At about a year old, she still has plenty of puppy energy and a big love for cuddles, playtime, and toys.
Darlene is very friendly with all people and does extremely well with children of all ages, including toddlers. That said, she can play on the rougher, more spastic side at times (always in fun and never too far), so while she’s absolutely fine being around younger children, she may do best living in a home without little kids.
She has been friendly with every dog she has met so far and would love canine playmates. She would prefer a home without cats, as she tends to chase them. While she isn’t a fan of her crate day or night, she is very well behaved when left out. Darlene is nearly house trained, with only two accidents in the house, and she can comfortably hold it for 8+ hours while her foster is at work.
Darlene knows how to sit and lay down, and she will even offer a paw sometimes. She is very treat motivated and is still learning her name, but she always responds to “come” or a whistle. She’s more of a grazer when it comes to meals and does well being fed a couple of times a day or having food left out so she can eat at her own pace.
She walks well on a leash, is great in the car, and would thrive in a home where she can play, cuddle, and share life with her people. Darlene would be a wonderful addition to the right family and would love a home filled with fun, companionship, and love. 🐾
