Meet Rafael “Raffy” 🐾
Raffy is officially medically cleared and will be heading up for adoption soon—and this sweet boy is more than ready to find his person.
Raffy is an affectionate, loving guy who adores pets, snuggles, and especially walks. Walks are truly his happy place, and he’s a natural on leash. He’s smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn, making training both rewarding and fun. He’s currently working on his basic commands and loves having a job to do.
House manners? Nailed it. Raffy has never had an accident in the house—even when he wasn’t feeling well, he would cry to let his people know he needed to go outside.
Raffy is a classic husky–lab mix and proudly sings the “husky song,” so he’ll do best with someone who understands and appreciates husky traits. From his lab side, he’s inherited a love of food—he’ll eat just about anything, then follow it up with the sweetest eyes and a snuggle session.
His daily routine is pretty simple: eat, sleep, and go for walks. When out walking, Raffy stays right beside his handler and continues calmly even when people pass by. The only time he may pull is if he spots a cat or bunny; a quick change of direction and he refocuses easily.
Raffy does need continued support when meeting other dogs and cannot live with small animals. He can be a bit unsure of the world and does whine at times, though it’s not loud—more a sign that he’s still finding his confidence. Given everything he’s been through, that’s completely understandable.
Raffy is a resilient, loving boy with so much potential. With the right person—someone patient, consistent, and committed to continuing his training—he’s going to thrive and finally get the life he deserves.
