Meet Val 💙

Sweet Val from the Dancing with the Stars litter, also called Knightly, has found himself back in BARC’s care through absolutely no fault of his own. He thought he had found his forever home, but sadly, it wasn’t meant to be. Now this wonderful boy is hoping his next home will truly be forever. Could that be with you?

Val has so much going for him! He is fully house trained and hasn’t had a single accident in the house. He is also crate trained, sleeps peacefully through the night, and happily goes into his crate when asked. He does very well crated while his humans are away, too.

This smart boy already knows sit, paw and down, and he is working on stay. His recall is fantastic, and he comes running when called. He enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play. He is even learning the fine art of tug-of-war with his canine friends! He also enjoys fetch, bones and puzzle toys.

One of the sweetest things about Val is his curiosity about the world around him. He has no prey drive and is perfectly content to stretch out on the deck and watch the birds go by. He does adorable little head tilts when something catches his attention, and his big paws occasionally get the better of him, making him a wonderfully loveable little klutz.

Val is great on walks and is not reactive. Once the day winds down, he’s happy to settle in beside you and watch TV. He is truly an up-for-anything kind of dog. Want to spend a lazy weekend on the couch watching movies? Val is in. Ready to head out on an adventure? Val would love that too!

Like any dog, Val is still polishing up a few of his manners. He is working on keeping all four paws on the ground when he gets excited to see his humans, and he is learning not to bark when another dog has a bone he would really like for himself. He is a smart boy who is still learning and growing.

Val has already shown that he can be a wonderful companion. Now he just needs someone to give him the forever he deserves.
