Ranger🤠
Their likes and dislikes:
Rangers loves to go outside but doesn't stay long by himself, he loves walks, chew toys, his bed and cuddles. He likes to chill in his crate. He is not too fond of having his paws wiped after coming from outside. He sleeps in his crate all night long (usually asking to go to bed around 10pm!).
● Whether they’re good with other pets and/or children: At the moment of writing his bio, Ranger had not been neutered (its coming), He has shown behavior related to it by trying to hump our dog, peeing in the house (he is potty trained otherwise) and trying to dominate our dog while playing. He is not aggressive and does not show food aggression. Ranger was awesome with our 14 years old boy but hasn't met smaller children.
● The type of home they’d thrive in: Definitely a home where people are present most of the time (working from home) and preferably a big space for running.
● Any quirks or traits adopters would love to know: He has a powerful bark but other times, he has like a whisper kinda T-Rex sound!!! He is extremely athletic, can jump very high and needs a powerful adult to walk him as well as a bit more training on the leash.
● Any behavioural or medical concerns (including signs of separation anxiety, if applicable): He has shown signs of separation anxiety but the signs are decreasing the more he stays with us : Crying, T-Rex whispers. He was biting his tail to the point where it bleeded but he seems to have stopped.
● Are they good with cats? N/A
● Are they good with dogs? We think he could benefit from being with older dogs and learn from them.
● Are they good with children? He has taken straight away to our 14 years old son, follows him, looking for cuddles.
● Do they bark? If somebody rings the doorbell, or comes close to the house, he will bark but not excessively.
● Are they house-trained? Most of the time yes, we think that after being neutered the peeing in the house will stop.
● Are they good in the car? He was really excited, looking forward, his head right between driver and passenger!
● Are they good on leash? He will need more training: having said that, powerful as he is, if he could be let unleashed he would be able to run and not be restrained by a leash.
Rangers is a beautiful dog, and wants to please! He has manners, they just need to be perfected; he knows “sit”, “go to bed”, “wait”. He is very intelligent and understands quickly. He needs structures and lots of exercises otherwise he paces and has a hard time laying down unless everybody around him is still.
